A Weddell Seal Project photo obtained of a Weddell pup nuzzling its mom by William Link (USGS) has gone totally viral! This photo going viral has been covered in articles by ABC, CNN, Yahoo News, AOL, and the Epoch Times, to name a few. The Epoch Times even made this video about the photo going viral!

William Link of USGS took this photo under NMFS permit when he accompanied the Weddell Population Project Antarctica Field Research Team during the 2014 Antarctica field season. The photo was first posted to the USGS Instagram page, then the photo took off from there to become a viral phenomenon.
